Skeeterlog and the Chiminea Kit
What is Skeeterlog?
Skeeterlog is a compressed log of reclaimed hardwood fiber infused with natural essential oils. When it burns, it emits smoke that contains natural essential oils that have been proven to repel mosquitoes. One log is 1 lb (453 g) net. Made in USA, in Kentucky.
How do I use it?
Around a campfire or fire pit, break the log into pieces and place them around the outer edges of an established fire. In a chiminea, put a fire starter in the bottom, lower the log in through the top and light. Burn a whole log, or a half or a quarter for an evening. A broken log works just as well. It was designed to be broken.

How long does a Skeeterlog burn?
Up to 6 hours as a full log burned upright in a chiminea. Up to 2 hours around an outdoor fire. Burn time varies with wind, moisture and conditions.

Does the chiminea keep mosquitoes away?
The chiminea holds the fire. The Skeeterlog does the work. Upright in a chiminea, a Skeeterlog gets its longest burn.
Where is the chiminea made?
The clay is formed and fired in Mexico, and we finish the pots here in Kentucky. The Skeeterlogs in the kit are Made in USA.
What colors does it come in?

What if my chiminea arrives broken?
It's clay, so storms, pets and shipping can break it. If yours arrives broken, we apologize on behalf of the shipper. Contact us and we'll make it right.

Aroma logs
What is an aroma log?
A longer experience of intentional fragrance dispersion. It is not about heat, and it is not firewood. Each log is paired with a Fire Stave, cut from reclaimed Kentucky bourbon barrels, that holds and carries the aroma.
Which aroma logs do you make?
Three. Gifts For The King, a Frankincense and Myrrh Log. Horsepower Heat, a High Octane Log. And the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Log.

Can I smell it before I burn it?
Yes. Open the box and remove the plastic seal around the logs, and the aroma fills the room before the log is ever lit.
How do I use the Frankincense and Myrrh Log?
Open. Place. Burn. In early November, open the box and remove the plastic seal around the logs, and the aroma begins to fill the room. Place it under the tree or on the shelf. On January 6, build a fire in your fireplace or fire pit and add the log and its Fire Stave on top of the established fire. How long will it burn?
There are many fires and many variables, so we make no promises and give no one-size-fits-all answers. Placed on top of an established fire, the aroma lasts as long as the fire does.
Is this firewood?
No. It is an aroma log. It is made for the aroma and the experience, not for heat.
Is Horsepower Heat only for car people?
It is made with the car person in mind. Keep it on the garage shelf, or put it in the fire pit when the gearheads gather. It is a gift for the car guy in your life.
Can I use it again next year?

What are Fiber Flame Logs?
Fire fuel logs made from kenaf, a crop grown in a field in one season, for a fireplace or fire pit. No trees are cut. Made in USA.
What are Wood Grillers?
Dry, chopped hardwood that lights easily and gets a fire going fast, for beginners or damp firewood. Each bag comes with fire starter sticks. Unflavored. Made in USA.

Yes. Shipping is included in every price.
How fast does my order ship?

What if something arrives broken?
We apologize on behalf of the shipper. Contact us and we'll make it right. Skeeterlogs and Fiber Flame logs work just as well broken.
